2025
NoteBox - October
This was a huge milestone for me: my first useful project in CAD. The NoteBox is a box designed to keep memories and notes, just like a coin bank. This the 3rd iteration, where I made use of all the knowledge I gathered from the previous designs. Everything from the tray mechanism to the connectors between the separate parts went through a long process of testing, resulting in a clean final product.

iPod nano - September
The first generation iPod nano (made in SolidEdge). It was modeled, printed, painted and glued. This was my first self made CAD project and it enabled me to apply all the concepts which I had learned through tutorials.

Cars Next Gen Racers - February
A set of Stock Car Racers based in Pixar's Cars universe (made in Blender). This is in no way affiliated with Disney or Pixar.

2024
Mercedes Concept - December
A personal design of a futuristic Mercedes concept (made in Blender). This concept was 3D printed and also rendered digitally. This is a personal design, unaffiliated with Mercedes-Benz.

Koenigsegg CCX & CCXR - November
Replicas of Koenigsegg's CCX and CCXR Edition models (made in Blender). This was my most ambitious replication project to date, with a heavy accent on details.

Volkswagen Polo Concept - October
This was my vision for the future of Volkswagen's design (made in Blender), leaning towards a retro look and making the most out of Volkswagen's historic design.

Vasc Phone - September
A new take on phone design, with a minimalist 2 tone look (made in Blender). I couldn't find a phone which I liked the design of entirely, so I made my own. It's a very sleek design, which combines aluminum with glass, and which was unique at the time - 2024.

License Plate Generator - September
This was a quick C++ project, based on text input, which could generate valid Romanian number plate combinations - it took into account the the different digit formats between counties and excluded the invalid letter combinations.

Blender Design Workshop
With the support of Code School Clubs I had the opportunity to share what I had learned so far and create my own modeling workshop in Blender. This is a 9 part online series, where anyone can sign up for free. So far I've had more than 1400 Romanian school and high school students sign up! This has also given me the chance to talk about my passion for modeling and the workshop on one of Romania's most popular television channel - PRO TV.

Course presentation
Car Pack - August
This was a huge project, where the quantity was the priority. This pack included over 130 cars from various brands. This is achieved by having a single body for each type of car, with different grille/headlight/taillight textures. Although each model has multiple color options, they are all based on the paints offered by the manufacturer on each specific model. Despite the quality of the individual models not being incredible, these are ideal as low poly background objects in a larger scene.

1992 Porsche 966 Formula 1 Car - January
This 1992 fictional Formula 1 race car helped me gain a better understanding of race cars' bodywork. Because of its boxy shapes, it was easier to "predict" airflow and develop "intuitive" blueprints on paper before deciding on the final version. Despite the Porsche inspired livery, the Porsche 966 is a completely fictional vehicle unaffiliated with Porsche.
I took a very realistic approach with this car, every new part was met with the following question: "How should this connect to the other parts?". As it can be seen, all parts are either held together by nuts, or simply go inside the bodywork - implying that there are hidden mechanisms under the body work. Notable examples are the position adjusters for the front and rear wings - observable in the 8th and 10th pictures, the positions of the wings are set by screws in preset slots; and the radio button on the steering wheel, which is connected to the car with a cable behind the steering wheel.

2023
Der Kuli - September
After looking for a sleek ballpoint pen - and not finding what I had wished for, I took it upon myself to create my own design for a ballpoint pen. Although only fictional, it features a colored aluminium design, a stainless steel clip and an embossed logo.

Vasc Vizzion Cabriolet - July
After watching Berk Kaplan's "Car Design in Blender" Course I decided to make my own cabriolet design. I am very pleased with the end result and the attention to detail. It seemed logical at the time to make my own configurator. This is publicly available at vasc.ro/models.html

2024 Formula 1 Car - March
This was my first attempt at "predicting" airflow on paper and improving designs before making the final model in Blender. Although not as complex as some of my previous work, it was a fun project which allowed me to research about aerodynamics. It also came in a variety of liveries, all of them being fictional. Unaffiliated to any of the used brands.

2022
2023 Porsche 963 - August
Another highly detailed replica of an existing car - the LMDh Porsche 963. This model featured details on the outside and the inside as well, featuring an accurate representation of the interior. A lot of research was done for the accuracy of the steering wheel and cockpit, as well as the overall shape of the car.

Lufthansa Airbus A320neo - July
My first and only commercial aircraft, the Airbus A320neo sporting a Lufthansa livery. Lots of insights were gained here, from representing heat dissipation to making realistic skies.

Mercedes AMG W10 - April
This was my first truly detailed & complex project, because I had to recreate all the complex shapes of the late 2010's Formula 1 cars. From the front wing to the barge boards and to the rear wing, it became the new standard for my future projects.

Vasc LMP17 - January
This was a more realistic take on the LMP ruleset (compared to the project below), with better proportions, a more detailed interior and a more detailed livery - inspired by Porsche's 2015 919 cars.

2021
Vasc LMP14 - December
Shortly before the LMP17 project, this was my first attempt at making a car. Although the proportions look of, the general idea was decent and it motivated me to improve on it, leading to the LMP17.

Vasc Palm - November
This was a 'remake' of an old sketch of mine, which was taken from 2D sketches to a 3D model.

Apple Products - Summer / Autumn
A couple of Apple products - ranging from displays and iMacs to AirPods and HomePods. This also includes iPhone 14 Pro & Apple Watch 10 designs based on the concepts at the time.

Vasc Phone - August
My own phone design, made by myself. This was my initial motivation for learning modeling. Before this point, I relied on my drawing tutor to help bring my phone sketches from paper to digital renders and real 3D prints.

Gaming Consoles - June
Here are my first projects after finishing Blender Guru's "Donut Tutorial for Beginners in Blender". Being able to navigate around the software and fix the issues I met along the way felt incredible.
